Beginner, need help with turntable setup + home studio!
I'm moving into a larger apartment so it's time to buy a proper turntable and home stereo setup for my living room. I'm looking into the following stuff:
-Rega RP-1 turntable
-Cambridge Audio Topaz AM1 amplifier (integrated w. phono stage)
-B&W 686 speakers
Any thoughts on the above gear? The thing I'm having the most trouble with is the amplifier...Any recommendations? Any cool phono-integrated tube amps that can be purchased affordably?
I'd also like to re-setup my home studio. Right now I make music (indie rock and electronic) mixing on either headphones or my Adam A7X powered studio monitors. I'm thinking of selling those and getting B&W 686s for my home studio as well, that way I'm mixing on the same system I'm listening to. (Honestly I'm just mainly demoing so the monitors aren't the hugest deal). Although I'll need a desktop amp for those speakers...looking into the miniwatt-style amps like the Qinpu ones - has anyone used those before?
