I do not have any constrains regarding type of amp. Preferable 50W and over and sub output....
Starting the list:
1. NAIM UnitiLite
2. Myryad Z142
3. UNISON RESEARCH UNICO PRIMO
4. KRELL S300I
Is anybody home?
I would add to that list the Exposure 3010S2 Integrated Amplifier. See Here
It's one of the most musical amplifiers on the market and plenty of extra power @ 110 watts into 8ohms (1kHz). Available in black or silver. I also have a soft spot for Unison Research, Pathos, Luxman etc., but on balance I'd buy an Exposure if under £1,500.
Always best to audition before you buy

I have the Myryad Z142 and it's a fine amp, but no sub output.
Cambridge Audio 851A.
Flexibility, power, detail, insight and (in my eyes, anyway) really attractive looking.

YAMAHA'S Flagship amp the AS2000. [being biased]....
What amplifier are you using?
Source component/s, speakers and sub?
What genre of music do you listen to?
In the meantime Naim's Nait XS amplifier is also worth a look.
All the best

I am just starting ....
Speakers..... JBL L890 ...simply wonderful
No real amp, sub, source to mention....
Music: rock, modern, accoustic....
P.s: wouldn't be wiser to buy an all-in-one unit (ie naim unitilite) than separates to avoid all inherited problems with wire connections)
I would like an amp extending morr than the 20-20khz range? (Am I missing the point?)
With that budget, something like the Denon PMA-2020AE would be worth a look, I had the older PMA-2000AE and it was a cracker! >)

Ex demo nait xs £900 -£1050
2nd hand hicap £550
Or do it properly
Naim 202 / 200 second hand £1800....
Thanks for your reply.
The JBL's look good and also look like they should be easy to drive. If you're not after disco like listening levels then for an all in one box solution Naim's Unitilte is definitely worth considering.
Back to separates and while it would have been useful to know what source/s you'll be using Rega's superb new Elicit-R integrated amplifier is also worth bearing in mind.
Would anyone actually want a 'bad' amp?
Synology DS212J-> AppleTV-> rDAC->Naim Nait5i. Dynaudio Audience 52SE
Sony BDPS370 / YouView ->Yamaha RXV1065-> Pana TH42PX80B plasma.
Have you actually heard the Elicit R properly yet?

Dear Rick (sorry for calling you musicraft before)
As said I have started my project and my plan is:
1st to buy speakers: done JBL L890 (91dbs 28-40KHz)
2nd to buy agoog new amp... looking
3rd buy a new cd source or streamer- when budget allows it
4th buy what I haven't in step 3 - when budget allows it
5th buy a good sub....
P.s. I do like my music loud most of the time... but if I have the option I prefer it best all the time. .. I.e. I wouldnt mind considering even a valve one.....
