Any experience with PMC LB1i Signature?

I'm in the position where I can buy a pair of new PMC LB1i Signature speakers for 2900€ (without stands). Is there anyone who has ever heard these or owns a pair. Any info on them would be great, because searching the internet hasn't been very productive. I also noticed that PMC doesn't produce the LB1i's anymore. Does anyone know when they went out of production?
I would also like to know if the original stands are still available.
