i was reading on a belgium site a review of ker r300 speakers ...first of all i find it a very good site

he was compairing the r300 against B"w cm9 first of all with very high ending

then the difference was great in favour of the r300.....then when he wend to another room he was driving both with lesser electronics

the onkyo 5009 and the difference went away ......the question is was it the power of the separates who opened up the speakers or

the quality of sound ? i am following a forum on whats hifi and for the touisand time people are saying that al amplifiers sound the same

second thing what botters me is why all reviews are made with different electronics and speakers to add

for exemple why not take all the top receivers from al brands and testing them to the same speakers and for exemple same cd

then we could get a very good view of those who sound the best ......simply when you change speakers the difference of sound

could provide from speakers change

If you ignore that one thread, I don't think people on the forum generally say that all amplifiers sound the same. I could perceive the difference between different amplifiers when I demoed. Sometimes the difference is quite stark. Of course, there will always be opinions on either side of the argument.

That is, usually, exactly what WHF do, they have reference systems that they will try new amps with but will also try each amp with a range of speakers to see what suits each amp best.[/quote]

RE: "amplifiers and speakers match"

I have found that my speakers sound really quite different depending on which amplifier is driving them - it is as if the speakers are limited by the performance of the amplifier.
