Additional Speakers

I have a Primare hi-fi sytem (A30.1 integrated amplifier and D30.2 CD player) driving a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 9i floor-standing speakers. I want to power some additional speakers from this system into the kitchen, which is fairly big (18'/5.5m square). Is it possible to add the new speakers to the existing amplifier outputs without overdriving it? I am considering some Quad 9L2 speakers.
