Hey people!  Brand new to the world of seperates and have a really basic question so please don't laugh me out of here! I have a budget skytec amp that only has RCA inputs. http://images.whybuynew.co.uk/1/1349099765_71.jpgand I have a Wharfedale pro Q-130 grapfic EQ to add to ithttp://www.theaudioworksuk.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/dc551...This problem is, the skytec amp has a line in for an MP3 player on the front which is all I need. Can I just connect the EQ straight  to the amp or is there something else I need? I can't seem to get it to work and the manual has diagrams involving mixers and other bits that I didn't think I needed because it's just for basic home use. After a few days searching the internet I can't really find any answer so though I'd join this forum because you guys seem like the best people to ask. Thanks a lot. Andy

RE: Absolute beginner with basic question!

It looks like the equaliser is single channel so no good for your two channel mp3 player and amp. It also has balanced xlr in and out so probably meant for pro use?

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Don't apologise Paul! You've confirmed that I am indeed and idiot and should have done a bit more research. That's for the reply.

It does say 1 channel on the back. Wink

You can always use the EQ on the mp3 player though.
