Dear friends, I need a pair of speakers for my amp.
Power output from the amp: 35 watts (into 8 Ohms)
I want to spend not more than 200.
Thanks in advance for your help.
You don't say what your amp is, but maybe something like this: http://www.superfi.co.uk/p-2727-wharfedale-diamond-101-speakers-pair.aspx
or these: http://www.superfi.co.uk/p-2442-wharfedale-diamond-91-speakers-pair.aspx

Thanx. The amp is Cambridge Audio Topaz AM10.
What about these?
Monitor Audio bookshelves are a very sound speaker indeed, incredible value (SQ vs £££). But if you can just find the extra £25, go for the BX2s which are bolder and more gutsy whilst still highly detailed, plus they will last if you ever change to a more powerful amp.
Marantz PM KI Pearl Lite | Marantz SA KI Pearl Lite | SR6007 | Technics 1200 mk2s | B&W 684 | 686 | LCR60s3 | ASW608 | QED Cables | Samsung 46" 6900 | Panasonic BDP120
I believe Cambridge Audio offer budget speakers which are quite good. Might be a decent match for your amp. Otherwise, the Wharfedale or Monitor Audio would make fine alternatives.
You need to listen to both and see if the extra is worth paying.
By the way, if my amp is 35w per channel, can I use speakers with recommended amp power between 70-120?
The speakers listed on this thread should be OK.......have you come up with something else?
