Re: "600 budget amp and cd

I
would recommend equipment from Marantz, Rotel and Denon - at this price they
all have very good and competitive units. My PERSONAL favourite is Marantz's
amplifier PM7001 (350 pounds). This partnered with any Marantz CD player for
the remaining amount of up to 600 pounds would make an exceptional system for the
money of a truly audiophile quality. However also worth auditioning are systems
from Rotel - the RCD-06 CD player and the highly acclaimed amp RA-04, at around
your proposed budget. Also for this budget you could consider Denon's PMA-700AE
amp and  DCD-700AE  CD player both with favourable reviews in the
specialist press.

Good luck,

Razz

Denon DCD700AE CD player + Pioneer A-A6-J Amp = smooth presentation but with plenty of attack and liquid treble.
