15" Tannoy Monitor Gold dual concentric speakers - how do they measure up to todays equipment?

I ask because I have a pair that have been in use for 40 odd years and are still in perfect working order. All of my equipment is very old (70's Pioneer deck and Sure cartridge - newer Marantz amp) but has served me well. I am wedded to vinyl and I really do need to update my turntable - I am looking at the Rega P3 - 24. I know very little about the current Hi Fi scene but would like to think my old Tannoys still deliver a quality sound. Please advise if this is a mismatch or not. Any views welcome.
