Will better headphones better my sound from iPod touch

I currently use goldring ns1000 n/c headphones with an iPod touch for my sound on the go.
As I will do the majority of the listening on train/tube n/c phones may be my best bet but there are a number of differing headphones out there and will they offer a significant improvement over my goldrings?
The headphones I am looking at are ... Psb m4u2, beyerdynamic t50p, akg 551
on the cheaper side are akg451
will the likes of the psb's be money well spent or should I just stick with the goldrings?
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I'm not an expert on headphone systems, but I think without a headphone amp, you're not going to be getting that much of an improvement with an iPod Touch personally.
