Sennheiser CX300ECO v Sennheiser CX300 II

Does anybody know the difference between Sennheiser CX300ECO v Sennheiser CX300 II?

Play have the ECO on offer at £14 delivered at the moment.

My wife has the CX300 II and they are very good

CX 300 ECO is the mark one version. Still a very good headphone, the only difference between it and the non-ECO CX 300 mark one is the packaging - it is supplied in recycled packaging.

CX 300 ECO was discontinued some time ago (2 years Smile so it is a little strange that this model is turning up now. It might be some old stock that has been found at the back of a warehouse somewhere, but to be on the safe side I would stick with the CX 300-II. You know what it sounds like, and to save twenty quid, is it worth the risk you might be buying an earphone that has been sitting in a dusty warehouse for the last four years?
