Hi all,

Recently purchased this unit from ebay and have been running it for nearly 5 days now. Really like the warm sound of it.

However, I have a question. Is it normal to hear a very low volume of music coming out of the headphones eventhough the unit volume knob is at zero? FYI, I hooked it up via the tape out of my X-A1.

i don't think anything to worry about - i've had amps before where when volume at minumum if you put haed near speakers you can still hear music

What headphones are using with it? I have a hybrid amp like your x-can and with my grado's at zero volume I hear nothing but with my lower impedance Denon's I can still hear music out of them at zero volume.

Ahhh it depends on the headphones as well is it?

Well the sound could be heard when I use my Senns and Shure earphones and also BOSE over the ears headphones.

I am sure it is because you have it set up with the tape loop. I had mine connected with one set of phonos into aux. I have also notuiced that I get more background hiis with my Grados as opposed to AKG and Goldring, the Grados at 32ohms having the lowest impedence.

Not sure of the BOSE's impedance but yes, maybe because of the tape loop. Oh well, as long as its not the XCAN.

I cant find ratings for Bose headphones for ohms or db/mW to find out the sensitivity. The lower the ohms and the higher the db/mW (or db/V) the more sensitive headphones are.
