Got it on mute at the moment is this ok to do for a long amount of time or should I judt turn the volume knob right down? I have connected the hjeadphone amp via the tape out. If I select tape monitor on my nad I can still hear the music coming out the speakers but only really just audible?!

Muting the amp for the duration of listening is fine.

Better yet, connect the headphone amp directly to the source and turn the amp off which will give the purest signal - just means you'll need to unplug/plug in when finished. I do this with my headphone amp and don't mind the effort for what you gain in signal purity Yes

Of course, if you buy a CD192, you get two pairs of analogue outs.Stick out tongue

The Novo allows pass through so you can plug your source into the Novo and then run a connection onto the amp.

Cheers guys, I use a lot of different sources as you can tell from my sig so and the back of my amp is a tad tricky to get to plus I'm the kinda guy who likes to set things up then leave well alone incase I break something lol. Isn't the tape out bassicly a pass through so its purely the signal coming from the source anyways or does the nad amp do something to the signal? I've gotta say I'm loving the headphone amp though, it sounds a lot better and seems more clearer and better seperation plus there is more base and more control on it, could just be the placebo effect but we all love shiny new audio equipment don't we! Also won't having the headphone amp pluged into the tape out have an effect on the performance of the main amp when being used normally as it has to mess about with 2 signals as opposed to focusing on one?
