Is it worth getting JH Audio 16s if my digital music isn't lossless?

im looking for a high-end set of in-ear headphones and i've read lots of positive reviews about JH Audio JH16 Pros but my concern is this:
none of my digital music is ripped in lossless format and is it a waste to use JH16s to listen to songs ripped at 128, 196 plus whatever the default compression is for the few itunes songs i have?
i no longer have any of my source music media so i cant redo them in lossless format.
and if it is not worth it to buy JH16s, what other brand/model of high performing in-ear headphones do you recommend given the higher compression of my digital music?
many thanks in advance to whatever insights the community here can provide!

It is worth it, yes, as long as the detail that the earphones reveal doesn't cause irritation because lower-fidelity earphones would mask the imperfections. When in doubt though, I'd go for the better set. But I would check out the high frequency response. If they tend toward brightness in any respect, that could be a problem with lower-fi music.
