I currently use my Rotel pre amp headphone out for my night time music listening, to try and be a good neighbour excellent!

I think I would benefit from a dedicated headphone amp (looking at Graham slee). I have Senn 650's, grado 325si's and AT ATH-M50's

I think the best way is too run an interconnect from my pre amp (tape out) to the headphone amp, the cable would need to be about 5-6 metres in length, to run around the room to the table next to the sofa.

Is this length acceptable, or would there be too much loss in quality?

RE: Interconnect Length from amp to head amp

Audioquest makes interconnects that go 5 to 8 metres at $56 to $71 USD for the cheapest version they have. If I were going that distance I would have a talk with them or a distributor like Needle Doctor.
