I'm thinking about getting the B&W P7s!

I loved the P5s thought they were great, but I did think they were lacking a bit in bass, and have been reading the P7s are better here, so I've been thinking of buying them. Would love to hear some comments on them from people on here? Cheers. I did compare in John Lewis but it was on classical music and they sounded the same to me. What do you think, do you love them and why too?

Home cinema system: Panasonic 50VT65 (THX calibrated), Pioneer Bdp-lx71, Pioneer Vsx-lx70, B&W FPM Series, B&W PV1.

Gadgets: iPad 2 and iPhone 4s.  Headphones: B&O H6.  Dab radio: Roberts Dreamtime.

For that money, I would go for B&O H6, currently discounted to £277 on Amazon (although I suspect you will be returning it soon Smile ).

Have are you heard the B&O H6?  I can't seem to find that much about them?  Are they better than the B&W P7s?  Do they have noise isolation on them?

For that money you can get Sennheiser HD 650 - if you don't mind open backed. Much classier sound IMO.

I'm far from an expert on headphones but the sennheiser momentums are equal in sound quality to the P7s as are others BUT none look or feel as good as the exquisite P7s.worth every penny then throw in the fiio amp and you're set.................. I'm still going to buy the new oppo headphones tho hmmmm the box the oppo headphones come in are better than most peoples houses....I'm a bit of a build quality and packaging junkie.

Let's compare the actual sound first. The P7 is a rich sound, enhanced slightly at both ends. The H6 is more neutral on the ends, but has a coloration/emphasis in the upper mids. I like the H6, and it's far more comfortable and more portable than the P7, but the sound as I described is way different. The Sennheiser Momentum is similar to the H6, but the earcups aren't fully around-ear and many users complain about that. The Momentum sound is not as good in the bass as the H6, the mids of the Momentum are better, and while the H6 has a nearly ideal treble (that's not sharp, bright, or peaky), the Momentum has a lot of energy in the lower treble but is recessed in the upper treble.

AKG K812/K712, Beyer T1/T90 Jubilee/DT1350, v-moda M100/XS, Beyer A200p/v-moda Verza/Microstreamer DAC/amps, Portaphile Micro/PA2V2 amps.
