Goldring Headphones Thumbs up
Last week i come across Goldring Dr50 s on Ebay delivered for £20 Peter tyson ,so thought at that price u cant go wrong ,and ordered a pair .A few days later they turned up and what a suprise i had .£20 well spent
Dont get me wrong they are not a patch on my more expensive ATs ,but hey u get what u pay for !
So this week after being so impressed i ordered the DR150 s again peter Tyson at £50 next day del
Must admit that i didnt think they were going to be much better than the 50s even though they are over twice the price
Again a big suprise they are like night and day to the 50s and to me they even sound better that my ATs better bass and a warmer sound ,they are smaller and dont feel as loose round ur head
To cut a long story short a definate recomendation for anyone looking for cheap decent headphones
Makes me wonder if Grado 60/80s are worth the money .Never seen or used a pair of grados apart from I grado but the goldrings look nicer look better built ,and 150s probably sound just as good
For the price of one pair of Grado 80i u could have all 3 of the Goldring range the 50s/100s and the 150s !

These have always been a great budget choice.

Hi Mark, i just want to endorse your recommendation of the Goldring 150s.
They sound on a par with the Grado SR80i which I had owned previously and I too was surprised at this as the Grados sound very good but unfortunately were very uncomfortable to wear and were much more fragile than the Goldrings.
I bought mine for £43 from Sevenoaks HiFi in Plymouth (or it may have been Exeter, I've forgotten) which by co-incidence is exactly the same price as a new pair of Grado SR80i 'phones (if bought in New York City.)
The detachable lead is of better quality on the Goldrings but the important thing for me is that they are so much more comfortable to wear.
The Goldrings have it over the Grados in the value-for-money stakes and I sympathize with those who are restricted to buying their Grados in the UK because they are being royally fleeced.
