Fiio AV-Ipod Cable Issues - Possible Alternative?

Hi,

I have the Goldring ns1000 running from my classic through the E5 amp via the av-mini cable, however I am now on about my third cable in 12 months following the cable always getting a dodgy connection at the ipod end.  Anyone been using a different cable company, found similar problems?  Maybe a longer cable would help,?

I think there may be a problem with the flex from carrying my pod in a bag and it being banged about, but no real alternative at moment, interested to hear  thoughts.

I could go down the no amp route, but do like the dynamics it delivers so if possible would like to stick with it, maybe be less clumsy?
