SounMAGIC HP200 (Open Back) - review
Submitted by quadpatch on Thu, 16 May 2013, 11:18pmHey chaps and chapessesses,
I have been working on this review for a little while now, but at least my delay has given them time to actually be available in the UK now. I really loved the closed-back HP100 and now I have written up my feelings on it's new open-back cousin - the HP200. Clicky:

AKG K451
Submitted by JJ on Thu, 9 May 2013, 8:48pmMy AKG K451 finally arrived, after much anticipation.
I needed something that would stay as both my SoundMagic E30 and Dr Dre Monster PowerBeats kept falling off.
What I am astounded by is it's sound quality - It's RUBBISH.
How did What Hi-Fi give it a Product of THE YEAR 2012 Award and 5 ****????
I'm thinking of getting the AKG K550. Anyone with any experience with these?
Thanks.
Ifi iCan - Headphone Amplifier - review
Submitted by quadpatch on Tue, 7 May 2013, 10:30pmHey Guys,
I have been playing with the Ifi iCan headphone amp for a couple of months and I am really impressed by it. I think a few people might be interested in this due to it's relatively low price and bass / soundstage controls. I was a little dubious about the controls before I tried them but they're very interesting, whether you have several headphones and especcially if you don't. I only had a couple of niggles with this one, anyway click on the following link to read more...
Noise Cancelling Headphones Question
Submitted by fj177 on Sun, 5 May 2013, 4:57pmHi, i just bought the sennheiser PXC 310 noise cancelling headphones based on the What Hifi reviews. First pair I have had but noise cancelling seems pretty good, just had a quick question - when listening to my i pod and activating noise cancelling, the i pod seems to go much quieter and a hiss is produced as well. I then have to turn the i pod volume up to hear at the same levels as without noise cancelling. Is this normal? I just thought the idea with noise cancelling was you would be able to listen without turning up the volume to protect your ears

Recommendations on headphone amp?
Submitted by MP1968 on Fri, 3 May 2013, 1:28pmI think the Headphone section is the best place for this, rather than the main Hi Fi section. Hope I'm right.
Have a Leema Antila IIs CD player and a Chord 2650 amp. The amp doesn't have a headphone socket, so I need to buy a headphone amp and hook it up to the Chord via the tape outputs.
My headphones are Denon AHD 7000. Musical tastes are general rock and pop.
Budget is a max of £500 and preferably a bit less.
