We've teamed up with the UK headphone industry to put together a consumer guide on how to avoid buying fake and grey import headphones:
1) Buy Only From Authorised Online Dealers
Purchase only from authorised online dealers, which ensures you will receive a genuine product and receive high levels of pre and post sales service.
Thinking of getting a pair of these to go with colorfly c4 personnel player (use with the WAV format). At the moment i am using a pair of Ultrasone PRO 900's which do sound pretty good, but i was wondering if the Grado's PS1000's would sound considerably better. Could anyone advise ?
I am a long time lurker and love to read all your reviews and comments about sound systems and headsets.
I have listened in shops to the P7 and Beoplay H6. I like the sound of the P7 best. I love the bass and how vocals sound. I have not found any other headset that sounds so nice to me. But the P7 is quite expensive so I was wondering if the C5 would be an alternative. I like its design very much. It is however not possible to listen to the C5 in a store so maybe one of you knows both the P7 and C5.
I've had a couple of months to play with this awesome machine now, even got a chance to try some balanced headphones on it. Here's a link to explain a little more:
Been making some review videos on youtube so thought i'd post some written ones on here for you.
Now I don't consider myself an audiophile(I hate that word) I consider myself a headphone and music lover. I appreciate good sound and I know and understand good sound aswell as any "Audiophile" but I never speak in audiophile terms! I try to review things in a way that anyone can understand...I try to explain exactly how it sounds and feels.
This is my third DT1350, and still no 'Facelift' version, which I may get anyway within a couple of weeks. On its own, it's the same deal as the first DT1350 I bought (April 2011), but not the second one (February 2012). The second DT1350 had a much looser clamp, and while that relieved the headaches, the midrange was even more dominant than the first DT1350. The extra-strong midrange was bad enough, but if the earpads didn't seal well immediately due to the loose clamp, the sound could be quite hollow.
I will be listening to both tomorrow but wondered what opinions were around here, will I notice the difference in quality playing via an ipod at no more than 320? I have the sennheiser 650 for home use and love the sound, should I be listening to anything else for on the move listening?
I treated myself to a pair of these this week...
...and love them!
I listen to a lot of dance music, mainly played through Spotify Premium and these really do the trick. The bass is solid and absolutely crisp. The separation is excellent too, you get a sense of everything all being mixed in. I can definitely see why DJs like them as it's easy to pick out the different layers.
I bought some for my teenage son for Christmas and have wanted some ever since, well I bit the bullet.
This is Beyerdynamic's OEM of the AK10 - it definitely offers more detail than any standard headphone amp I have, including the $375 USD Decware Zen Head.
