Hi everyone, my name is cristian and I a fron Spain. I have been reading your forum for days and I have learned a lot.

I want  closed-foldable cans to use mainly with iphone and sometimes xBox. I owned sennheiser hd202 and sennheiser cx300 at the time, so I want more sound quality in the new one.

my candidates are:

- ATH- Es55

- ATH-E7

- Denon 372 (foldable)

- AKG Q 460

which one do you think is better in sound and construction.

I have onle tried the AKG beacuse in my city there is not ATH shops Sad it sounds good but the construction is very "plastic".

thanks a lot

Hola Cristian,

replies can sometime take a while - especially in the headphone section Smile

I have only tried the ES55's from your list and I really liked them. I used to have PXC-250's and they are much more solid than those.

Hi Cristian,

If you are looking at grado's I would suggest Alessandros http://www.alessandro-products.com/headphones.html. Excellent headphones that I bought whilst living in Barcelona (which has nothing to do with the sound quality!)

I still really enjoy them... they're not closed so sound does annoy those who are near!

Closed, and foldable although not small, and optimised for dvd/gaming: Ultrasone HFI-780. I use them with an iPod 5th gen, they work fine, though volume does need to be at 50% or over most of the time (they are 32 Ohm impedance like many other headphones these days). They need at least 150 - 200 hours to really get on song (treble is very pronounced in first few hours, just leave them playing).

Hey Chris, From the headphones listed, the ES7's are nice portables. They do pretty good on most musical genres, and they have a nice style too.

Buena suerte!

Hi,For your iphone try sennheiser omx 980 over ears £140 gbp from amazon.Got mine this morning and been wearing now for about 4 hours without any discomfort. Played all types of music from Bach to BBKing to Van Morrison to Nora Jones to Gipsy Kings.Awesome is a good description.Bass taut but not overbearing Mid Range and Treble are outstanding and getting better with use.listening to the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac now and impressed. For out and about these are special imho.Good luck in your search Christian

When the OP asks for "closed, foldable cans", why suggest something totally different? Did you read what he was asking for?
