Hello experts,

Can you suggest the best earphone for me ?

Actually, I'm using BeyerDynamics DTX 101iE with double flange.

It's not bad but i need a better noise isolation and want a better sound, even with a higher price.

I tried the Shure SE 535 : the sound was OK (perharps a little flat for me), the sound isolation was perfect, but most importantly, I have not found the right combination with the tips: when I used  the triple flange, i had good isolation noise, low frequency was OK but high frequency were inexistant ; when I used the foam tips, I had good treble and bass but not enough noise insulation.

My criteria are :

- i listen music from my iPhone (itunes AAC file and narrative podcasts from french radio) ; no neeed for a microphone.

- need a strong noise isolation ; i listen music in train and noisy environment

- perharps I prefer a V-courb frequency (not too much) rather a strict audiophile flat courb.

Which model or brand can you suggest, please ?

Some manners would be nice, an odd 'please' goes a long way.

We're experts here. That's good to know. Wait - I see that it's official - the very forum says that. So time to ponder that question. And where does the time go?

OK , you're right ; sorry, i'm not an english native spoken. So  perhaps my english is approximative or rude. If this question is bothering you, just don't consider it, please.

No, it's not rude, that's fine. Looking at the reviews I'd say try the Sony XBA-2iP. I've got some Sony MDR XB500 (£33GBP) full size headphones and prefer them over many makes up to £150GBP.

I'll bow to quad and Dale's knowledge though. Smile

I'm not the expert in IEM's but with my limited experience I have a good feeling about Westones - here's an example. They claim "up to 25 db" reduction of outside noise, so compare that to what you have now. You can view more of the higher-priced IEM's on this list as well.

Thanks ! Perharps I may consider the XBA-3ip http://www.whathifi.com/review/sony-xba-3ip model...

Someone spoke also about the Klipsh Image X10 http://www.klipsch.com/image-x10i-in-ear-headset but no one around me has it, so I can't test it. What do you think about Klipsch or Sony Sound ?

Thanks for time about my questions...

I had some fairly cheap Klipsch and they were horrid. However, they were only £40 or so. You can't go wrong with Sony in my opinion. The only trouble, as you know, is the lack of ability to test, which makes IEMs very difficult to buy, especially in the more expensive price bracket. Hope this helps any. Smile
