My Bose OE headphones have just died and so I'm on the market for some new headphones.  I've been looking at the OE2is and the P3s.  I know that the new OE2is are less bassy than the originals, and although i do listen to more hip hop/dance music i do have a wide music taste.

I'd greatly appreciate any advice you have.  If you have any other suggestions apart from these two headphones that would be great.  Here is my criteria to help:

- prefer on-ear headphones

- don't care about wireless or noise cancelling

- want iphone compatible headphones

- want foldable headphones

- would prefer slightly more bassier headphone than OE2i (i think P3 is?)

Thanks again if you can help!

The OE2 and the P3 have comparable bass, and I think the OE2 has a more neutral midrange. The P3 has better treble, and the OE2 is muffled slightly or veiled even with the ipod/iphone treble boost. The P3 looks much nicer, is built much better, and is much less fragile. The OE2 comes with a soft case and the P3 comes with a hard case.

Thanks for your comments dalethorn ... P3s seem the better fit.  Do you know if you can control the volume with the remote with the P3s?  Can't seem to tell looking on B&W's site.

Yes, the Apple controls on the P3 do work to control volume up/down and pause on iPods and iPhones.
