Atari files for bankruptcy, it began life in 1972, now it's planning to sell off it's logo & video game titles.

They're not "biting the dust", read the story, it's the American arm trying to protect itself from the French parent company's financial problems.

Lets hope they pull it off and continue. Atari was my induction into the world of computer gaming in the late 70's - I'd hate to see them go.
