State of UK Channels/Broadcasters

What a mess we have here in the UK with certain channels only on one box,while some are on another,don't you think!,

Especially with the HD channels,Virgin seem to have reduced the ones they had plus they don't have Sky1,Sky don't have ITV HD,and Freesat only have

BBC HD and ITV HD(via a Red button,which sounds a pain) they dont have Channel 4 HD,What a sorry state of affairs,

If you want all those HD channels then two or three separate boxes are required,Is it the same in other Country's in Europe ?.

Hopefully Freesat will acquire Channel 4 HD in the not to distant future plus maybe one or two more?,then I will switch to

Freesat/pvr when available and kick Sky into touch,sure I will miss some of the programmes especially the HD Sports ones,but its

just getting a bit on the expensive side,plus I think a price rise is imminent,

Also to anyone with a Freesat box,I just wondered if the basic channels that are also found on Freeview any better in quality or just the same?.
