I've needed a new aerial for some time and was looking at £300 for the job. Despite some of the adverse commentary on various websites I decided to go down the sky route. With an online discount from Dixons it cost £67.50.

Whether Sky have learned from the publicity or I was just lucky, I have to acknowledge they've been a model of courtesy and efficiency - and the quality is superb.

I've yet to confront the hard sell  when I cancel the deal before the end of the trial period but for me the process has been a pleasure and I'd say it was a no-brainer for anyone whose current aerial won't support a freeserve box.

MJW999? Its Sky on the phone. They want to know if you will be coming in for the area sales meeting tomorrow? Can you phone a chap called R.Murdoch back please? Thanks. Oh, and can you pop into Comet and smash all the Freesat boxes up with a large hammer. Cheers!

It worked for me. Did you want me to lie about it?
