'Movement ghosting' with Amstrad HD box

Following Sky's installation of a brand new Amstrad HD box to replace the faulty Thomson one, I'm getting 'ghosting' on side to side screen movement on all channels. I've seen this effect on Freeview, but never on Sky. The faster the movement the more a ghosting builds up either side of the actual image.

The TV's a 1080 40" Samsung 2 years old, and as far as I know it is set up correctly.

Hope I've described the problem sufficiently

Check your signal stength on the Sky Box. Might be a dodgy connection in to the box

Both inputs look to be at 2/3, and as far as I can tell the cables are very secure.

I would also check the cable from Sky Box to tv and replace if you have a spare, see if the ghosting is still there?

Don't have a spare but the lead that's in is OK (Chord HDMI 1.3)

Nice man in Comet suggested the Amstrad might have a bigger bitrate output necessitating a 1.4 HDMI lead. I declined his offer of a Monster lead for £80 Big Smile
