loss of sound etc from humax freeview box

i have had a humax free view box for awhile now.bought based on 5 star report in whf.very pleased overall but do seem to get regular problems. 1.loss of sound from cbbc citv cbbs channels 70,71,72 and remote wont change channel freezes.all i can do is turn off from power and back on again.this is somewhat annoying.any thoughts.
