Sun, Jun 29 2008, 2:11PM
Hi, does anyone know of a LCD, 32 or 37 inch that has built in freesat & PVR, as i am in the market for one of these at the moment, the chap at my local TV shop indicated that these were not available at all.
Thanks in anticipation

HI,
Loewe do PVR TV's although not at the moment with Freesat. Freeview but not Freesat.
Cheers,

Actually the Loewe Connect - review here - is available with a Freesat tuner built-in, but a Sky Freesat tuner, not BBC/ITV Freesat....

Hi,
I stand corrected - and therin lies the confusion - two systems called Freesat - one from Sky and one from the BBC/ITV et al.
I'm sure it wasn't deliberate to confuse the public coz I bet some will buy the wrong system...
Cheers,
Cofnchtr.

Hi Littletedd (did you ever know Humpty, Jemima and Hamble?)
Sorry - he's right.
Panasonic do a TV with built in freesat, but no PVR - and no-one has indicated any desire to market a PVR TV.
In fact, there isn't even a standalone freesat PVR at present. Current estimates are suggesting October/November for the first ones to market.
Do you have an aeriel connection available? If so, I would probably go for a full-hd LCD, and just run it off the built-in freeview until the Freesat PVRs become available.
All the best,
FBSF.
