i had sky but keeped losing my signal because of leaves on the trees and as much as i want to chop the tree down

there are about a 100 of them so they canceled my services and refunded me and gave me a free freesat card to use with my box

i use there broadband at home

i would like to use the recording function on the sky box with out having to pay sky £10.25 pm

if i have to pay them £10.25pm i might as well go and buy a pvr

and i cant get virgin where i am thanks in advance

You lose the Sky+ functionality unless you either subscribe to a package or pay the stand alone £10.25 pcm fee to retain it i'm afraid.
