Humax,Grundig or Goodmans? HELP!

I was going to buy the Humax HD,but ive been hearing the standard def images are not as good as the Grundig or the Goodmans is that fixable with a software upgrade and if so is it likely to happen. Are what hifi going to review the other two boxes next month? Is the Humax the only one that can be manually tuned to recieve non freesat channels?
