Humax Foxsat HDR Freesat PVR - first impressions preview

Cheers for that clare...one question though, without giving to much away ( i understand you have to save the best bits for the review), is it a basic thumbs up or has there been any particular issue with it?

Given that Panasonic are making Freesat HD TVs like there's no tomorrow, how long will it be before their first Freesat HD PVR/DVD recorder? Any ideas Clare?

It should open up the market a bit!

I'd expect it to be Freesat/Blu-ray recorder, actually - they have a similar model already in France (plus Blu-ray recorders in Asia-Pacific region).

No definite announcement yet, but i'd expect news at the Consumer Electronics Show in January: we'll be reporting live on all the big stories...

Thanks for the quick first impressions Clare, good to get a full grasp of the specs etc.

Also good to see that, reading between the lines, it appears to be a strong product.

Hopefully it'll give Sky a bit more a kick up the backside!

Will be purchasing the next edition of the mag to get the full review.
