My son has moved out and left his Sky Dish on the house. I have a Virgin V+ Box which I am thinking of cancelling for a Freesat (PVR) set up. My wife likes Virgins, Catch Up TV, do any of the Freesat boxes currently on the market offer this facility?

'fraid not...Virgin can offer this as they pipe the data down a fibre cable, whereas the satellite signal is a single broadcast to all users.

The only way around this if you go satellite would be to have a PC connected to broadband outputting to your TV, so you can use the sites like iplayer, 4OD etc...
