BBC 1 HD
I've heard a few mentions of the F1 Quali on saturday being in HD. Noticed bbc one HD today so any word of the F1 being in HD?
Well it was much better than usual. Personally, I think it was of a quiality that we should expect as standard.
It's certainly an improvement on the usual......could do with a similar sound improvement too...

I agree. i think F1 should be tailor made for DD 5.1 especially the pit lane sounds on Qualifying and during the race
switching between the two - bbc1 and bb1hd on sky I didnt see any difference.
Have to wait until HD is recorded natively in HD 2011 ?
F1 is already recorded in HD....FOM just wont/dont supply an HD feed atm.

I thought Legard sounded like he was in a cardboard box during the race too. Or my 180HD center speaker had a fault. Hopefully it'll be upscaled this week. Webber FTW!

Indeed. The pre-race stuff looked great though, at least from Brundlefly's pitwalk on. But I guess that's shot by the BBC, as it doesn't have that irritating F1 logo in the bottom left.
It was upscaled, and not that great.
