Interesting development with TVonics...

Pulse Eight, UK developer has acquired the assets of TVonics and are looking to develop a set-top box based on the popular open source media player, XBMC...

Full story here: TVonics

Looks as though they're keen to carry on developing the product and have plans to produce a DVR based on XBMC on top of Android.

I'm going to be watching this with considerable interest.

Interesting.

An XBMC STB project already exists btw. At ANGA Cable back in may Marusys, parent company of Vu+ (manufacturer of Linux based hobby/enthusiast STBs) demoed new h/w running XMBC called PRISMCube.
