Travelodge's poor channel selection
Not the most important question I've ever asked, but it would be good to get an answer.
I'm currently working away Mon-Fri, and have been staying at a Travelodge.
The only channels available are BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, CHANNEL4, E4, CHANNEL5, BBC NEWS, RUSSIA TODAY and FILM4, though the dialogue on FILM4 is 4 or 5 seconds ahead of the picture (or the other way round), so impossible to watch.
Just wondered why the channel selection is so poor, and why FILM4 has the sound problem, when the other channels don't?
Tbh I find that as long as you have Russia Today you don't really need anything else.
Thanks Ben. So in essence, I'm being too fussy.

Tuppence ha'penny a night?
......I use them when I can and am happy if the TV works.
I reckon somewhere there's a special shop that just sells TVs to hotels. All of 'em have fewer channels than everywhere else and special ones that just won't tune it.
Honestly, how hard can it be?

Don't forget the remote that is from a different make and doesn't actually work the TV.
And they password protect the engineer mode so you can't re-enable the HDMI ports! Bar Stewards!

LOL! Oh yeah - or never has any batteries!

I did manage one week to link my laptop to the tv so I could watch a dvd, but only that one week, the other weeks have been impossible.
All the tvs are Philips, with varying quality of picture, but with hardly any channels.
Someone please explain?
Because Bernard, Travelodge is a poverty spec hotel for tight wads. If you want Sky, then put your hand in your pocket and fork out for a decent hotel
It took you three weeks to mull over how to be that rude and unfunny?

Just seen the thread old chap. Sometimes the truth hurts, eh ?

It's just in the nature of some to be "humble". I've still not received a response from the esteemed member regarding the difference in specs between a VT50 & GT50, for him / her to consider the GT50 having "poverty spec" in comparison to his / her superior VT50.

Why would it hurt what hotel someone chooses to book at? Being an offensive EDITED is what must hurt, I imagine, but if that's how you get your kicks to make up for your miserable existence, I can't stop you.

Yes, I'd seen that BB. I wouldn't have posted if this was a first offence, but there's a worrying pattern.
True. Given the nature of the posts, I can only imagine how rudely the member may have dealt with an AV dealer. I feel sorry for the dealer for having to tolerate all this, to be honest.
