If I get the £10 Sky Now TV box, can I just use it to add the free catch up services (iPlayer etc) without paying any subscription to Sky?

Well for a tenner I'm happy to take the risk... Are you able to answer my question?
Hi Roger - this paragraph is from the cnet review:
Interestingly, you don't have to add your credit-card details for the box until you want to buy a Sky Sports day pass or a Sky Movies monthly pass. You can happily use the box just for watching iPlayer or Demand 5 without worrying about entering payment details at all.
As Professorhat has said, will work for iplayer etc.
Well now I've seen you can install Plex on it I've ordered one...
