Sky help please

I currently have a sky+hd box and a Sony hxd-870 DVD player. I was wondering how to transfer from my sky planner to the hard drive on my DVD player? A guy in the Sony shop showed me but I can't remember how to do it . Also can u record str8 from sky onto the hd as you did in the old days with video recorder.

You'll need to hook up your Sky box to the DVD player through a SCART cable from the Sky output into the DVD's satellite input. Once done, you should then be able to get your Sky box to display when watching the DVD player input. Once you've got this, you can then just record like you would anything else, so just press play on whatever is on the Sky+ planner and press record on the DVD recorder to record it.
Same process for recording direct from Sky to the DVD recorder.
