Sky HD in second room ?
Can somebody advise me please if this will work? if so, how do I connect it all up please ?
I currently have Sky HD in my lounge with sound via a Panasonic
sound surround system. HDMI from the Sky Box to the TV and audio
out from TV to Sound Surround system, everything works fine.
I would like put an HD Projector (Optoma HD600X-LV)in the room next to the lounge to use
as an alternative to watching Sky Sports in the lounge. I currently have a second TV
(on the house ariel) and an Onkyo TX-SR307 AV Receiver in the spare room.
If I drill a hole through the wall from lounge to spare room, the distance from lounge Sky Box
to the Onkyo AV system is about 1 and 1/2 M,s and the Projector will be 3- 5 Metre's away
from the Sky box.
How do I connect the spare room audio and Sky HD up please?
Thanks
Presumably you still need to run an RF cable for a Magic Eye to change the channel though?

Yes or you can use a set of wireless RF transmitter/reciever which is how I have done it.
Thanks for reminding me about channel changing ops:" src="http://images.cdn.whathifi.com/sites/all/modules/smileys/packs/50/redface.gif" alt="

Thanks for the advice
The HDMI part sounds good to go how about the audio though?
Can I come out of the Sky box Audio out, through the wall and into
the CBL/SAT plugs on the 2nd AV Receiver using std Audio RCA cable?
Thanks

Yes that'll work, in stereo, but I've got a feeling you're only getting stereo now anyway, Sky doesn't send 5.1 surround sound over HDMI, it'll only do that out of the optical/coaxial digital output. If you aren't using that you could take a digital cable from the Sky box straight to the second room AV receiver.

Simply use one of THESE . I have my main TV in the Lounge and another in the kitchen/diner and run a 5M HDMI under the floorboards to the 2nd TV and it works 100% with no HDMI handshake issues or picture degredation so can't see why this wouldn't work for you.
