ITV HD Picture just got a whole lot better on Virgin
Has anyone else noticed a picture improvement on ITV HD?
Not everything, I notice it most on the evening news and Emmerdale and last night River Monsters.
I have Virgin Tivo
???
Maybe some of my new gear has run in - HD621 or Audioquest Pearl HDMI?
the news definitely looks much sharper - it's such a difference I thought maybe they had started broadcasting in 1080p
ellisdj i started this thread last september, some or part of itv news is in HD.
It's been since the new logo - the picture is much sharper as if is in 1080p on the news, Emmerdale looks better in a lot of scenes not all. I don't see much tv at the moment because of work mostly so only see about 1 hour.
if most people watch via a receiver then it's likely the receiver is set to upscale the pic and maybe adding whatever infererence can be caused inside the busy box so maybe it won't notice.
I don't have any picture scaling, except what's in the Kuro - so all changes stand out now much more than before.
i dont think its only on virgin i am on sky and since the logo has changed to there new look my picture also looks alot better

Can't say I've noticed, I have TiVo too so will take a look tonight.
