Or just connect the TV to the amplifier with phono leads.
The sound from anything connected to the TV would then come through the hi-fi. (My first post on this thread.)
I've tried connecting straight from the TV to the amp, as I did when first got the TV last year. Absolutely nothing.

Working! Decided to unplug the whole shebang: Sky box/TV/DVD player earlier today and reset the whole the lot and works beautifully via box direct to amp.
Damned silly we iz. Switch it off and on again. Best advice for every problem.
