any way to play back record programs from sky plus box without sat connection?

Hi Folks, A colleague is going on holidays next week and they have rented a house with no sat/cable connection. He was wondering is there any way he can bring his sky plus box with him and play back the recorded programs he would have on it for the kids? Cheers, Mick

Nope. The recordings are encrypted, and therefor need a satellite signal to receive the ECMs (aka decryption keys or control words)
