What's the difference...
...between DAB, Freeview and streaming in terms of sound quality?
I've just switched my FM tuner on (first time in a week), and the difference between that and the same stations on freeview is pretty wide.
Does DAB, Freeview or streaming get your vote?
In order of quality (assuming a decent roof aerial where applicable)... FM, Internet, Freeview, DAB
Depends what stations you are streaming! For example if you stream the linn radio stations which are high bit rate it will probably sound better than dab or freeview but many of the stations are quite low quality. My freeview box via my CA 740c dac sounds very good to me and much better and more stable signal than DAB. I think freeview is a higher bitrate than DAB on some stations as well. I do not list to much radio via the Internet but I would tend to agree with the order chebby has but I don't think there is much in it between streaming and freeview. In the future when broadband speeds are super quicki am sure we will all he able to get hd radio online!
