I know that dab uses more power because the radio has to unscamble the signal, so please explain why when looking at the battery life on dab radios the manual will say 28hrs life on dab and 15hrs life on fm, thats one example, on another it says dab 35hrs, fm 13hrs I always thought that fm radio was a lot less power greedy can anyone explain please.

Given the way my DAB radio eats through batteries, I'd say you'll definitely get more hours of FM than DAB.

thanks that is what I always thought but I have checked twice now and on the Pure radio site if you look at the user guide every one the dab battery life is longer than fm.

I'd say someone got the numbers the wrong way round in the manual - the figures would make sense reversed.
Either that or they're being 'economical with the truth'....
