FM transmission polarisation

I'm just about to purchase a 3 element FM radio aerial, and am not sure whether it should be mounted for vertical, horizontal or other polarisation. My main transmitter is Sutton Coldfield, 30 miles away.
Any advice ?
Sutton Coldfield uses mixed polarisation, so it shouldn't matter.
