DAB and Freeview

So if I understand correctly the signal for radio on freeview is a higher quality (bitrate) than that for DAB radios and so if you have freeview within range of your hi-fi there is no point whatsoever in getting a DAB radio?

Re: DAB and Freeview

Partly depends on what you want to listen to - Freeview currently carries only 20 radio stations; DAB many more (depending on your location).

Ok Clare, thanks very much for the feedback. I'm a Radio 4 and 3 listener so I guess I'll spend my money elsewhere.
