I just bought a Nuforrce Icon HDP , Headphone Amp, DAC and Pre-amp. Need sugestion?
Is it a good for a System Set -Up for IPod / ITouch as Headphone amp and Stereo Listening?
1.IPod / ITouch connected to a Wadia 171i direct connection to a HDP Icon as a Headphone Amp for a better DAC even without a computer?
2. Ipod/ITouch Wadia 171i direct connection to a HDP as a Preamp and connected to a Marantz PM 8003 Amplier as a power amp for Stereo Listening?
I need a sugestion.

No, not the headphone. I mean if i use the Marantz PM 8003 Integrated Amplifier as a Power Amp and the HDP as Pre-amp . Is it as good pair for a stereo listening. My Speaker is Piega C2 bookshelf .
Hi. I think you will be the only judge of sound quality for that combination as I cannot imagine anyone else having it.
I have a combined headphone amp/DAC/pre-amp with an MF X-CANv8P and only use it as a headphone amp. I was not happy with the sound from its DAC so changed to a Firestone Fubar USB DAC. I have never used it as a pre-amp.
I have used an ipod as a source using the Russ Andrews GQ-24 cable to bypass its amp. I found it to sound excellent with the ipod on the jazz EQ setting.
So there is no reason why your suggested set up should not sound great.

Just to clarify here, are you asking if adding the Marantz 8003 amp is going to improve your sound to headphones (vs the headamp in the HDP)? I assume this because there is no amp mentioned in system 1 that could work with speakers, or am I missing something?
