musical fidelity v-dac mkii or hrt music streamer ii
Hi - I'm about to invest in a dac - thinking of either the musical fidelity v-dac mkii or hrt music streamer ii.
I have a new toshiba laptop, CD = Marantz CD6003, Amp = NAD C320BEE, Speakers = KEF Q standmounters (12 years old)
(My turntable is a project debut 3)
Do you have experience of these - what would you recommend please? - also open to other suggestions (same type of budget please)
I have been ripping my cd's to flac
sorry for all these questions - but I'm a dac virgin
Does anyone have opinions on this please?
I'm a HRT man. I bought-on-a-whim a II+ after I received a long service award from my employer. I was tempted by the great reviews both in WHF of the II and generally on the net of the II and the II+. I hae not been disappointed, using it with my Mac Mini. Unfortunately I have no experience of how it compares to the V-Dac.
Thanks MajorFubar
Yes I've read those reviews too - and also good reviews on the V-Dac
And thanks so much for your useful comments.
And I'm now thinking that the V-Dac may be more versatile. i.e. I can disable the dac in my cd player - and send the signal through the v-dac. As far as I can see I wont be able to do that with the hrt.
So...
Is there anyone here who uses the V-Dac who would like to make comments too
All comments gratefully received
Thanks
