Audiolab MDAC Problem with Blu Ray & HD

I've just received my new MDAC today but am having problems. While it plays CDs and normal tv channels no problem, when playing bluray and HD tv it reads "Encoded Bitstream" and no sound is coming out. Excuse my ignorance and please help!!

When I connect my blu-ray I have to choose PCM bitstream settings in my Blu-Rayplayer. You probably have to change audio settings in your Blu-Ray player. The original bitstream is for receivers or audioprocessors which can decode DTS signals and others.
