itunes and Asus Xonar essence STX

Hi guys (and ladies ofcourse)

I'm wondering what happened to the equalizer and all related goodies of my ASUS sound card with reagard to playback on iTunes. It simply doesn't work lately.  

I mean when playing back music on iTunes it goes uneffected by any equalizer setting in my ASUS. However this does not happen with  players other than iTunes: the  equalizer is up and running.

Any ideas? I'll appreciate.
