Is a HD-PLC network what I need?

My next AV receiver will be DLNA certified, so I have been thinking about eventually streaming music to it I also want to be able to scroll through albums via the TV, and photo's possibly HD video in the future.
At some point I want to get a NAS to store it all. So basically I'm looking for a way of streaming from the NAS to the AV receiver.

I have a wireless network at the moment, so could I get a wireless receiver to plug into the back of the Amp?
The other option I was thinking of is would a HD-PLC plugged into the mains at the NAS end and the Amp end be the solution and can it handle what I need?

I really don't want to start fitting cat5 cable.
